Half The Heart Is Missing

Half The Heart Is Missing

A Poem by Siobhan Shaddow

The you in my mind I like a lot more

You wait for me by my locker

And hold open doors

You blow kisses to me

When we're on the phone

And kiss me properly on the lips

When we're on our own

It's too bad that version

Only exists in my brain

So when you ignore me

It's hard to refrain

From running over to you

And making sure you're okay

Maybe even kiss you too

But you'd wonder what was up

Maybe think I'm a freak

But that's how it is

Our future looks bleak
