Forgive Me

If we spent less time fighting over our differences and focused more on learning to love and respect, perhaps we would finally understand what religion was meant to teach...

Forgive me for the shadows now and past,

I do not know the myst’ry, judge and trial,

I know not space nor time nor centuries back,

I know not what awaits - life, death, exile.

But all I see, the wars and end in all,

Was not it love that taught the soul to live?

Too many since still lost in War’s death call;

Our hearts, our souls, now never left to give…

Please heed these words, and hear me if you please:

What's right in wrong? Right lost to baron seed

As countries past and current all shall see

True evil wears the mask of hate and greed.  

Forgive me still, for when it’s said and done

No right way wins when love is lost to guns.

Well i share the same view. Not to mention i have suffered from lot of cultural riots in our place. Its really hard to change mind of these pig headed people. You never know when they come up some baseless reasons to slaughter each other. I always work for this reasons as being a human.And your words boosted me up. I'm sorry to hear that Sophy... my province had a recent incident involving guns which is unheard of for us, and with things being so unsettled in the world right now, it's scary. It seems so pointless in the end, and it's sad...

Thanks ANM. I guess mainly what I meant that there is no need to say who is right or wrong, no need for wars, we just need to learn to respect and love each other. No one knows the right way of things, I personally believe, though I am religious, that no particular way is concretely the "correct" way, but by committing acts of violence and hatred, we are not helping anyone, nor are we right. Specifically, those who commit violence in the name of whatever they believe in often contradicts what their beliefs actually dictate. No matter what the belief, it should not cause harm to others, or else, it is wrong. But yes, what we do in this world is so important - personally, I feel that we are taught to love and that people lose sight of that through judgement and conflict and differences.

Oh I happen to be one who shares your point of view. So no need to convince me. I was just reading an interesting book yesterday on the nature of accountability and interdpendence and it was written in a hopeful manner which did nothing to appease my questions just as you are questioning here. What is the nature of the issues that the Soul is becoming a cadaver incapable of putting itself in the place of those in need. Is it Numb, apathy, desinterest, more qualities that I can't see.... The outlook not so good at the moment. Yet the writer suggested that things needed to get really bad before leaning towards better days.

I am not so convinced.

It's true that often, humankind waits til soemthing bad happens before they realize the action of their consequences and the need to take corrective action; often the damage is done. Let's hope this is not the case... I just wish people would stop attacking others, whether verbally, physically, etc. It is sad to see things that are meant to be good warped into terrible reasons for injury to others.
