Pi

Pi

A Poem by Cyali
"

Pi, such a magical number =] (This was an extra credit assignment for a math class in high school)

"

Pi, pi, a magical number;
That never ceases to induce wonder.
When you find the circumference of a circle, I bet,
And divide it by the diameter you get
That magical number that lasts through time;
The one that starts with 3.14159.
And not only is it found in circles,
But also on spheres it works its miracles.
You take four-thirds times pi r cubed
And the surface area is revealed to you.
So universally used, this number of numbers;
It will even appear is the soundest of slumbers.
So next time geometry calls your name,
Pi will be your friend all the same.
