Small pillsA Poem by Ali chahineJust some thoughts of a fella with bipolar disorder
They give me medications
That come in different colors And vary in size Small pills to keep me alive One to stop me from getting Too high And another To cushion my certain Lows Every pill with its own faults Attempting to cure my crooked thoughts A gamble with each prescription For a life that's worth living They give me these medications All with the same goal But at times I wonder Is there a cure for a broken soul © 2024 Ali chahine |
