Lovely NeedleA Poem by Pale RoseA poem about someone I know.
You’re a needle, so thin and delicate bending over and back again, crimped like a ribbon, but so brittle. Be careful or you’ll break-- maybe you are already. I closed my heart a long time ago But that little needle point somehow slipped inside without me noticing. I’ve been bleeding all this time. You’re a stab in the heart, my lovely needle. You’ve gotten inside me so completely that my heart is divided into two, And by your slowly slipping inside my words spilled out like ruby droplets and you licked them up like milk. You should’ve stuck in my eye and stayed there, where you belong. You asked for it to be like this for your own satisfaction but you are never pleased. How I want to swallow you whole, My lovely needle.
