A man may barely stand on shaky legsA Poem by Pale RoseA man may barely stand on shaky legs,
yet he stands, without pride, upright. A man may stumble when he walks, yet he continues on toward the light. A man may fall after reaching too high, yet he will always get up ready to fight. Do not judge the man who trembles, but those who have caused his blight. A heart may weaken from bruises or neglect, yet it still pulses, without passion, with heat. A heart may falter, stuttering in the chest, yet it resumes its former steady beat. A heart may ache with a longing to stop, yet it will never admit to such deceit. Do not judge the heart that wanes, but those that cave into defeat. © 2012 Pale RoseAuthor's Note
