Of punctuated granite -

   A sentinel of the ages. 

Sylvestris partition -

   Beam of silver - or steel - 

Are you a step to heaven

   Or a capstone for hell?

Stern expression of peace - 

   Keeper of fortitude - 

Of what would you speak?

   Would I even understand you?

I found this enjoyable and interesting as my eldest son has had a love affair with the mount for many years and many trips to visit the El Capitan. Great imagery and nice flow to the work. I have to believe that there are those to whom he speaks but I'm sure I would not understand, but sure also one would have to address him as your majesty. Nice visit thanks for the post -carl
