Harlequin Requiem

Harlequin Requiem

A Poem by softlyfall

Harlequin Requiem
by Amy MaryJane McFate

When the final curtain falls in place,
it overtakes her unawares-
the harlequin unmasks her face
and, trembling drops her tears.
That heavy heart kept a silent pace
and has followed her all these years.
