The Giggles and Whispers

The Giggles and Whispers

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

There's Giggles and whispers upstairs.
Inside I am starting to freak.
I edge up the stairs so slowly.
As I don't want the stairs to creak,

The Giggles and whispers start fading,
They know that I'm coming you see,
The door in the bedroom is closed, not locked,
But light I can see underneath.

When I'm three yards away, the lights turn off,
Just like the nights before,
Tonight I was sure to catch them,
As I fling myself through the door.

Then yet again it's quiet,
They seem to sense it's me,
I suppose I asked for trouble,
When I bought my two kids a wii.
