NeXt Curtain

NeXt Curtain

A Poem by Dylan Macadham
"

A Verse in 12 Lines

"

Not knowing,

Never knowing for certain,

What awaits us,

Behind the next curtain;

Is it our Undoing,

Our Achilles’ heel?

Or our Strength,

Our instinctive Steele?

Is it what makes us,

Or what breaks us?

What renders us lame,

Or braces our Aim?

I do believe that having a strong faith can help deal with life's adversities.better. Thinking you are all going to end up in heaven surrounded by your loved ones when you die, definitely has a certain appeal. Not knowing what is going to happen next can be more troublesome. I guess the latter could be an achilles heel, if you let it. I no longer buy into heaven. I wish I did. I buy into stardust. Thought provoking poem.

Fine words, a mystery for many to contemplate or equally to cold shoulder maybe. But in whatever we put our trust - faith or not.. perhaps tis better to live for the day, EVERY day, trust in whatever happens - then , look.. see.. consider and remember.

You'll set minds working with these brief but coherent thoughts.. or should.

I didn't especially mean heaven in the 'faith' sense so have altered some of my review.
Nice thing about being old --> not an issue anymore. Who cares what's behind anything anymore? I'm just checking to see if I'm still breathing *wink! wink!* Maybe this narrator needs to relax & not do so much frenzied anticipating (((HUGS)))
