Are we talking about the discovery of America here? I think you have a Columbus day. However, he didn't did he? There were already people there and had been for years. Haven't got a clue how Lief fits in. Enlighten me please Dylan :)

Leif Erikson, an Icelandic Norseman is considered by many historians to have been the first European to land in N.America, predating old Christopher by 500 years.
