Jack: What’s your pet peeve, Jill?

Jill: People who reply to texts and emails with phone calls.

Jack: Yeah, I know what you mean.

Jill:  ... You do?

Jack: Sure. The whole reason I e-message is to avoid phone calls.

Jill: Me too! I thought I was the only one.

Jack: No, there are others. Sufferers with PA, Phone Anxiety.

Jill: Wow, there’s even a name for it, huh?

.   .   .

Jack: Yeah. In my case it’s the fear I’ll make a real-time gaff.

Jill: Yes! With e-messages I can backspace out gaffs before I Send.

Jack: ... Damn, somebody's at my door. I'll get back to you later, Jennifer.

Jill: Jerk!
