A nicely written tribute to the former president. Carter was a good man and a good Christian which is why he made such an awful president. He refused to "play ball" with the wheelers and dealers in D.C. to get things done so they effectively made his presidency null and void by throwing a wrench in the works. But his humanitarian efforts will be remembered as his legacy more than his lackluster presidency.

Despite his rough time in office, Carter did not let that defeat him and began a humanitarian career that benefited many. A model for all of us.

He played it forward :)
unlike most of our presidents, i never thought anything bad of him. he seemed like a genuinely good guy and didn't seem like a liar. made it to 100 i believe.
