Jack: “I have a Born-Again buddy.”

Jill: “Is he trying to convert you?”

Jack: “Yeah, I can't get him to stop."

Jill: “Ask him tough questions to test his faith.”

Jack: “Done that. I asked, If God is good, why does he allow catastrophes?”

Jill: “Let me guess. He said, The Lord works in mysterious ways.”

Jack: “Yes! His Stock Answer!”

Jill: “Ask him, Why?”

.   .   .

Jack: “ ... As in, Why does God work in mysterious ways?”

Jill: “Yes, I once asked my Born-Again uncle that.”

Jack: “What did he say?”

Jill: “Nothing. Just stared at me like a deer in the headlights.”
