Mixed Nuts!

Snippets, in 3 lines ...

Mixed Messages are

like an old can of mixed nuts,

tough to bite and chew.

.  .  .

...and yet quite supple,

nonetheless, opened or not.

And that's all I got ...

.  .  .

...except, I might add

I like them best uneaten,

and lightly salted.

Nice write on Mixed messages and nuts theme. You capture the essence through a analogy quite well, I too think they are best unopened or uneaten, before they may cause a mind or a stomach upset. lol. Thanks for sharing this fun write. enjoyed reading.

...and you're right about (salted) nuts, it's impossible to eat just a few. If I open a can, they're toast, gone! :)
