Night Things

Night Things

A Poem by Sarah Jane

Wind songs and whispers
Comfort you while you sleep
Safe haven is a blanket
While night things creep
Calls of a banshee
Breathe of a mild man
My own slumber empty
Doomed to the damned
The dog doesn't like it
The secrets you sleep
And I cannot trust night
While night things creep
Dreams of devils past
A language unknown
Still I don't like to feel
The evil undertones
Wake me by midnight
So my sanity Ill keep
For I cannot envisage
What night things creep
