El Tango De Reflection

El Tango De Reflection

A Poem by Sarah Jane
"

Listen to El Tango De Roxanne first.

"
Mirror! You seem to be my only friend
Four walls and a door to bind me
To hell in the eyes of a teen

Mirror! You copy me until the days are dead
Mock my every movement
With curious mutual consent

Reflections, they call me
Sing smooth, "Come near me"
Im quite delighted
To mee lt you, provided
If you can prove trustworthy

Mirror! I can see you even when youre gone
In the shadowed mind sight
Without preference to day or to night

Mirror! You remain even when the mirror is gone
In the black horizen
And when the sun burns bright

Sweet child from the rest
Her will put to the test
Swift hands clasp round her neck
Its more than I can take

Mirror! Ive done all I can to shake your weight
Dipped a few shades darker
And strayed from the mundane

Reflections, they steal me
Sing slick, "Come stop me"
Im quite sadistic
A tad bit ballistic
But please, love me anyway?

I trust you
