I gave you my heart

You didn’t even know.

But why should you?

I’m so naïve.

 

I gave you my heart

My very soul

I thought you’d see.

I had believed

 

That one day

Things would change

One day,

You would know.

One day I’d be able

To take my feelings

Off of Hold.

 

It’s been a year.

You’ve been in the dark.

You have no clue

About my feelings for you

 

It’s been a year.

I’ve learned since then

The sky won’t fall;

The world won’t end.

 

Even if someone else holds your love

My heart won’t stop beating;

My life won’t end.

I’ve gotta move on;

I’ve gotta be strong

I can go on living

Without your love.
