Metaphysical

At this moment

my feelings,

inside and out,

interchangeable

 

About earth:

to say, it is crumbling

to say, it is broken

 

Once, there was earth

as two syllables: Eden

 

On our knees / begging /

we should be begging

for redemption,

 

/ but / to whom do we beg?

I am no longer sure who we should be begging forgiveness from. I am more likely to apologise and beg forgiveness of the younger generations who have to live with the mess we have made. But I do remember that garden of Eden I once admired. A thought provoking write DAH.

Chris, I have a gut feeling that there is nobody for us to ask forgiveness of for what we've done to this planet. We are here on our own, and as I say in another poem for my book SPHERICAL: We are no longer needed / no longer trusted.
