I'd Give You My Heart

Inspired from the movie Untamed Heart.

I'd give you my heart

Because you've given me yours

You've given me the best gift possible

Love,

Hope,

Happiness,

A spark to my inactive life

A fire that can't be tamed

A reason to smile,

I'd give you my heart

Because you changed my whole life

You made me love again

And realize that there is a second shot at love

And that we all suffer heartbreak for a reason,

Because there's someone better down the road

To love you past your pain

And sweetie... I'll give you my heart because you make me feel at peace

Last night I watched the movie Untamed heart for the first time and it was amazing. And I wrote this based on Caroline and Adam's friendship/relationship.

i see where you got your insparation from..

i would think bout the lay out again ,
it seems a little odd,
you go from one thing to another without a white rule, but than again that could make it interesting..
but kind of makes it an hard read

Oh this is very nice. I like to challenge some of my friends,im not very familiar with your work, but i would say the topic is a very emotionally one. Someone learning to love again after facing heart break isnt an easy accomplishment. The only thing i would suggest is to consider meditating on the emotions the character may have been feeling (the fear, hesistation, doubt, longing) and try to add even deeper emotions in this piece. Good write though:)

"And that we all suffer heartbreak for a reason" - true that! this is a romantic write - I've not seen the film - but you've captured a relationship that many experience - to give a heart - no small decision - nice job!

I loved the movie Untamed Heart! I watched it last night as well. Its a beautiful movie and I could see why the movie won best kiss. I loved this poem because it did show the love between Adam and Caroline. But in a way, you didn't show what happened after which made me a little disappointed near the end. Maybe it wasn't 100% based on the movie, but the most dramatic part of their relationship was when he died.

Also, I have to agree with Black when he said you jumped from one thing to another. Sometimes that makes for a very good poem. But in this case, it made for a hard to read poem. But least not forget that each line was somewhat touching. I still liked it mostly because it was based off of Untamed Heart.
