The Vampire In Me

For the Creative Poetry group.

"When other little girls wanted to be ballet dancers

I kind of wanted to be a vampire"

I hated playing with dolls,

I would fall on purpose 

Just to suck my own blood

I guess it's the vampire in me;

I've never liked school

I'd rather spend my day sleeping

And when it strikes midnight

Be wide awake,

I guess its the vampire in me

I have never dated a jock,

Or a branic 

I'm only attracted to guys that

Like the same things as me

"Vampires to me have always been very sexy"

And always a turn on...

I guess its the vampire in me

This poem is kind of like me actually so I can relate. I tend to be sleeping suring the day, but at night im wide awake and while others are sleeping im walking around and freaking people out. Halloween's my favorite holiday and sometimes I fall on purpose... I promise you I am NOT crazy or some sort of Vampire wanna-be.

I've always wondered why people thought vampires were "sexy". Dracula eating that baby he stole from its mother in Bram Stoker's novel was NOT a turn on for me...uh... demonic YUK...and...uh...poor baby.
