The Eyes

Inspired by The Great Gatsby

Its the eyes

That got me

Interested in you

A sparkle in them

That made my heart melt

But its those same eyes

That lost me,

Lost me in love

The more I look into them

I can't help but cry

Because those are the eyes

That make my life worth while

We're reading The Great Gatsby in my English class and I was inspired to write this.

The poem's poetic elements are really good especially without much or any use of rhyme.
Eye's do catch my eye, when a girl has particularly pretty eyes,
Although I wouldn't say the eyes in the picture are anything special, despite that, the pic really fits the theme though.
