The translucent bubbleA Poem by Daniel DawesContraction of oneself
A struggle in a bubble,
A contraction of oneself, Hopelessly devoted, To the confines of a shelf. Longing for a answer, To a question already known, All the pieces are in play, Balanced but not alone. Fields full of flowers, Opening to greet the sun, Are we that different, A child of light from just one. Fighting what will be, Fighting what we are, I'm climbing off the shelf right now, To become that shining star. "Pop" goes the bubble......... © 2014 Daniel Dawes |
