Return to lifeA Poem by Daniel DawesComing out of yourself
A world that's gotten smaller,
From my own design, I'm inside the cocoon right now, In walls I can't define. I can see the dim light shining through, I can feel the joy arise, I know its time to leave this place, No longer in disguise. My senses begin to heighten, I breath in the cool air, The same place but different, Everything so fresh I stop to stare. I spread my wings to take flight, Across a new world not yet seen, I know i need no compass, Just faith in the unseen. I now know each day is precious, I know that I'll be true, I can't but help wonder, Why don't you join me too. © 2014 Daniel Dawes |
