"

Written for a friend of mine with her newborn child.

Ophilia couldn't talk yet, but she could imagine talking.
Ophilia had listened to her mother's soft voice.
Ophilia could imagine talking with her mother's voice.

Ophilia's mother sang sweet lullabies.
Ophilia would wave her hands directing, her mother's voice.
Ophilia could imagine singing with her mother's voice.

Ophilia loved her mother so much.
Ophilia knew her mother loved her.
Ophilia could tell by her mother's soft voice.

Ophilia would cry sometimes.
Ophilia's mother would sing, hush little Ophilia.
Ophilia loves, the sound of her mother's voice.

Ophilia one day sang with her mother.
Ophilia's voice was one in the same as her mother's.
Ophilia's mother thought so too.

Ophilia imagined her mother and herself singing to the birds and squirrels and even a little mouse sitting beside them.

Ophilia knows, she has a wonderful imagination.
Ophilia's mother knows so too.
Ophilia's mother loves to sing her to sleep.

Ophilia, your name could sooth Jesus and his Angels to sleep.
Ophilia sleep in my arms, I will be here for you, so fall asleep.
Ophelia when you awaken, I will be here.

Ophilia I will always be here for you, my Ophilia.
Ophilia I will always be here for you, I promise.
Ophilia fell asleep listening to her mother's soft voice.
