You see.

You see.

A Poem by Randall

I never meant to tease your heart.

I meant to steal it.

And keep it.

And never return it.

You want to steal my heart and keep it…
But you say it like you’re certain I won’t notice.

Maybe I'll let you get close enough to try.
Maybe I wanted to see how you’d hold it,
whether your hands tremble
or tighten
When something precious leans your way.

But don’t mistake my stillness for surrender.
Sometimes I stay very, very still
just to see how bold you’ll become.
