"Her Answer to If I reached." By: Amy and Randall

"Her Answer to If I reached." By: Amy and Randall

A Poem by Randall

"

I just realized I'll never have you.

Did you confess your love for me? Or, leaving me no clue…

You only want what you can't have.

A challenge you put yourself in, by leaving me to starve…

Not what has surrendered itself to you.

My love was always there, but no love confession from you…

If I reached for you, you would hold me under drowning me.

That makes us two, my deep yearning heart, you failed to see.

Because you think me weak for surrendering so easy.

Your perception is flawed, judgment makes me angry yet uneasy…

I'm not going to beg.

Now, I remind me of self-respect I firmly peg…

I'm going to walk away.

Toward brighter horizons, pain in the heart, but to greet a new day…

Leaving you to realize that you have created your own Storms.

May the tempest you stirred up within me. Keep you safe from all harm...

You'll look for me.

My kind ways, your unsaid words, my absence now becomes our destiny…

Then we'll see who ignores who.

My love moves on, but for No one else, it will be self-love renewed.

Very lovely composition the two of you created... strong language, painful, tit-for-tat... sometimes relationships do not have a good fit...and it will not work unless both parties give to each other...now it's time for self-love.... beautiful!!!
