“Never”.

I walked up to you one day and said, I love you.

First, you looked at me with a shocked look.

Then you laughed at what I said.

Then you smiled at me.

And you said, I love you too.

You took my hands and pulled me in close.

And said, "You would never let me go.

I looked at you and said, " Never. "

You said, “Never.”

I said, you may be sorry you said that.

You said, “Never”.

Thank you, Amy. I've lost count, is this the fifth or sixth time to exchange words with you? The word "Never" is a word that, whether spoken or written. Means final, no more questions, to the end. Not the same perhaps as found in Merriam-Webster dictionary. But the meaning we each put to our words.
