"Never"

"Never"

A Poem by Randall

“Never”.

I walked up to you one day and said, I love you.

First, you looked at me with a shocked look.

Then you laughed at what I said.

Then you smiled at me.

And you said, I love you too.

You took my hands and pulled me in close.

And said, "You would never let me go.

I looked at you and said, " Never. "

You said, “Never.”

I said, you may be sorry you said that.

You said, “Never”.

This poem captures a moment of vulnerability and connection between two individuals as they express their feelings for each other. The repetition of the word "never" emphasizes the intensity of their promises and the emotional weight they carry. I LIKED THIS POEM,
Nicely written. ~Amy

I keep coming back to your poem.
The way Never is spoken first light, then full of promise, feels tender and sincere.
It lingers because it feels real, like a moment held gently in words.

Never indeed....

The power of another to make us feel and say certain things to each other....

This is kinda like a mini-movie with two characters sharing their truths in the moment....

Cheers....

This reads like love caught mid‑promise, sweet but already carrying the weight of what it dares to swear.
Gritty in its knowing, warm in its hope, it lets “never” echo exactly as it should.
