"One drop"

"One drop"

A Poem by Randall

One rain drop fell and landed on my cheek.

Someone walking by asked.... why are you crying?

I said I'm not crying,

They said, then why do you have a tear drop on your cheek?

Because a rain drop fell on my cheek.

They said it's not raining.

I reached up with my finger, sure enough my cheek was wet.

See I told you.... you were crying.

I turned, walking away, muttering to myself, damn rain drop... damn tear drop.

There’s something tender in the way you let a single drop become a whole conversation with yourself. The mix‑up between rain and tears feels almost funny at first, but underneath it is that moment when someone sees what we hoped to hide. This lands soft and true...one small drop revealing more than we meant to show...
