Mickey

My three minutes of inspiration, I get it almost every day.

From the moment I pull up to her window, I'm greeted with a smile.

I get to hear true words spoken with intelligence, yet grace.

I get to hear laughter that isn't fake.

I try to extend it to four minutes, which always makes it a better day.

I don't know, if she knows, she inspirers inspiration in others.

I may tell her someday.

but for today I'm happy to get my three minutes of inspiration.

Thank you, Betty. Inspiration comes in many forms. The human one is the best in my mind—a bit romantic, nice thought. A twenty-four year old English Literature teacher and a seventy two year old man, you would need quite the imagination. She does read my writings, she smiles at some, and comments on others. And she holds her nose to quite a few, I tell her I wrote those for the skunks that can read. She stops holding her nose and smiles, saying they still stink. That's when I smile and realize three minutes means everything.
