 If I told you the truth, how I feel about you, you would run away. 

If I told you of my love for you, you would think me insane. 

You would think, how could anyone love so fast so deeply. 

Yes, you would run away if I told you of my love for you. 

When we talk you keep me at arm's length, keeping my love just outside of your grasp. 

I want to say I love you. 

But I’m afraid you will tell me to go and never return.  

I love you. See, I can say it. 

But once I get in front of you, I’m afraid to say it.  

Would you send me away? 

Would you be so cruel to distance my heart, my love for you? 

If you sent me away, I would still love you, from a distance. 

I would do things no other man would do for you. 

I would bend a knee each time you looked upon me. 

I would hold you when you wanted, when you needed to be held. 

I would love you through all things in life. 

If only, you would let me shorten the length of your arm. 

Let me tell you of my love for you. 

And if you still think my love is Insanity, then I will claim it’s mantel. 

I will wear it as a Medal for all to see.
