"Light at the end"

You are the light at the end of the tunnel... I seek!

Your light gives me my bearings... needed to go forward!

Through the tough stretches I may face... you lead me!

My eyes stay fixed on you... through it all!

As I reach the end of the tunnel... and the world opens!

You are waiting for me with a smile... and open arms!

Welcoming me home...Saying I was always with you!

Now, you are with me...safe in my arms...where you belong!

Author's Note

I wrote this piece after talking to a friend about the death of someone. I went back to read it over and realized I had written something that not only reflected the walk toward eternal life but also toward one's earthly love for someone. I guess that can happen, thinking about one but really feeling another. They are, it seems, both the same... Seeking Heavenly Love and an Earthly Love!

This is a comforting read Randall.

It says so many things on so many levels......coming through the darkness into the light.....a fine metaphor for so many of life's difficulties.
