"the sea"

"the sea"

A Poem by Randall

Am I the sea that you love?
The sea that you sit by, wishing to swim.
Come... me` fa`ilte tu` to enter me.
To float upon... knowing you need no port.
I am your port for all seasons.

You may feel my gentle waves... soothing your body.
Make me whatever you want.
Shape me around you for protection.
Let me take you to see the world.

I will give you white pearls from my depths.
My blue color will turn violet under the moon rays.
I do it all... for you and your desires.

Come swim in me... become a part of me.
Ride atop my white caps... while watching the moon.
I will carry white roses from the shore to you.
Please, come... swim in me... with me.

The use of the sea as a metaphor underscores the complexity and depth of relationships.
I really enjoyed reading this one, has a nice tune and romantic touch to it,.
The imagery and word choice really enhanced the poem. Thanks for sharing.
