"Queen"

"Queen"

A Poem by Randall

I never knew a Queen before!

But then... I was never a Knight before!

Am I now?... I wonder...?

But you... you are definitely a Queen!

I have no doubt!

What is a knight to do for a Queen?

I ask not knowing.

May I wear your crest upon my armor?

I come from nowhere... with little standing.

But I will stand between you and the gates of hell!

Giving no quarter to the Devil and expecting none!

Please tell me as I stand before you... your crown

atop your fair hair, with cup in hand your pinky raised while

drinking your royal tea....

Please tell me what I must do... to please you!
