So much directness here, the poet knows what he wants. His compass is set and I hope the “dear” has both her eyes and compass set on him too. That first stanza is like signage in neon lights. There is strength and directness in the word choice. Brevity with impact Randall. I rarely look at posted images, the words hold the power.
