an imprint in a matressA Poem by DaniJust another wasted day, time"a mass of fireflies, stealing light and life.
Books sit unopened notes untaken words left unsaid
lump on a log in a river of sameness a lack of ambition…an unsettling un-changed-ness old and new circumstances only different in name
cold compress of lifelessness on my brow, same visions float by in stagnant ponds. Frustration"fingers knotted in hair.
So here I lay in bed with words left unsaid, time’s fireflies flitter by… stealing light"soul left to die. © 2012 DaniAuthor's Note
