Tomorrow In a Bottle

Don't we have enough to worry about for today? Why worry about tomorrow too?

The pains of today are coming at me full throttle 

So I'll shove tomorrow in a bottle

And I'll wait for tomorrow 

To drink from its sorrows 

So for today I'll shove tomorrow in a bottle

LOL so I wasn't sure where to go after that I decided to just make it a short poem (like really short)

I love the rhyme in this poem a lot and just the meaning. We all procrastinate and have problems dealing with our struggles and this poem catches this perfectly and elegantly.

It's the nature of humankind to set worries for the "tomorrow" aside, as if they will somehow resolve themselves.

Well it's probably healthier that way. I mean the Bible itself says not to worry about the next day because "worrying won't add another second or hour to the day".

True. However, I'm not sure the intent was to not plan for the life we must live. I know people who don't live today because they're obsessed with tomorrow -- like the doomsday preppers, for an extreme example. But, there are equally extreme examples of people living as if tomorrow will never come. There must be a balance in our perspectives.
