Dragon's Blaze

Pre-poem to Inner Beast, still in the works

Dragon's Blaze

 

A heart of flame

with scales so bright

this creature roams your dreams at night

 

Their fire burns

and their talons flash

enemies fall with one great slash

 

Wings of wonder open wide

a slender tail whips across the sky

a magical figure flies on high

I would really like to finish this poem, and need suggestions.

Your use of imagery is both eloquent and apt, DarkFairy. Perhaps, you could say a little more about the dreams which this supernatural entity induces? Are they nightmares of the future, death or something quite different? Or, even unique to the individual fears of different dreamers? I look forward to reading more of your writing, my friend.....
