this a poem i wrote when i wanted to die. it's about suicide so please be careful reading if you get trigger easily.

&&This Is The End

She puts the Knife to he wrist

Presses down and slices away

She moves to the next arm

And does the same thing

She lays on the floor bleeding

&&This is the end

For the little girl

 

Well s**t she's still alive

So she tries plan B

She waits till everyone asleep

Then heads to the kitchen

Grabs the pills and opens them

She chugs the whole bottle

And downs them will alcohol

&&This is the end

For the little girl.

It's a difficult read but it's also a very real struggle that few will understand. I think the good thing about poems like these is that those of us who write then from experience are still around to write them. And if we are still around to write them well then that means there's still a light in there. Poetry is about the good and happy as much as the ugly bad stuff...
