Harlot

Harlot

A Poem by Dark Messenger

Music on, hearts off

I entrance myself on the waves that influence us to God

I peel away the skin of your soul to reveal the soft, fleshy, and vulnerable innards of who you truly are

Like a harp I manipulate the strings of your hearts until the music encases mine once more

I am protected while you quiver under my power

Beware, one choice can change everything you think you know

I can destroy you at any second If I deem it fit

But I don’t

My lips slowly murmur the words that softly awaken your heart

“in all honesty, I love you”

But are those words as powerful as they seem?

Or are they empty like my soul.
