In our living room

Lights down low, crackling fire in the fireplace

both of us basking in the fire’s glow.

Outside the storm progresses,

bring colder temperatures and more snow.

Snuggled upon the couch together each content to be

in the other's presence. Our love for each other

shows in a passionate kiss and a gentle caress.

Sweet words of love and devotion are passed between,

two who love each other. The night deepens just

as the love between us.

Gently I turn your face towards mine, and with a kiss

try to express all the feelings I have for you.

All the love and the gratitude that I feel that

you are in my life. How empty would my

world be without you as my wife.

Years have passed some good and some bad, but hopefully

we will have many more good years together.

For you are the one that helps me

in the bad times we weather.

I love this. I mean, I REALLY love this. When reading, it put a smile on my face, thinking about my own partner. You managed to capture a cozy feeling within your words. Also, as strange as this might sound, there's a slight typo that somehow adds to the work.

"two who love each each other," feels like listening to a record on an old player, with it skipping a little as a nearby fireplace crackles. I dunno if that's just me, but that's how it played in my own mind.
