Elementary School

Dedicated to my classmates from elementary school.

We were little buggers

runny noses, eyes wide open

some of us were princesses, sages or muggers

but there never was a danger around the corner.

Puberty took us in a storm

we winged it

high school set us apart

but we never stopped to wonder how the other one is living.

Then some of us married to be completed

some of us lie to get by

but I`m proud no one`s soul`s deleted

the joy  we carry for the childhood we had is still alive.

I like it! I like how you didn't just speak of elementary school, but also of how we grew and changed. How people went their different ways. I feel like how's should just be how and is be put after one. That way it would say, "how the other one is living." Just a thought, though. I feel like it would run more smoothly that way. Again, I feel like there should be more to it, but like we agreed, that's just me. I love how you ended it to remind us of what we are reading and what the point of the poem is.
