This Forsaken RoomA Poem by Dark PoetThere’s only loneliness ahead. So I’ll shut up and ignore my desireI’m tired of this beast beating on my mind My eyes are closed but dreams won’t come Alone with myself I am confined My blood inside is cold and numb Curling into these blankets won’t avail Nothing will rid me of this emptiness It’s somber and I’m sensitive and frail This feeling is agonizingly endless I wonder what it’s like to share a bed To stop wanting what I won’t acquire There’s only loneliness ahead So I’ll shut up and ignore my desire I just want to sleep I hate this terrifying misery I’ll pretend I’m not afraid, yet still weep Rid me of this forsaken place © 2014 Dark PoetReviews
