Mom, Give Them a Gun

An anti-war poem...

Mom, give them a gun,
a rifle please, if possible,
fill it up with bullets
and let them kill our future...

Mom, my world was bright
enough to shine our nights
but let them kill us, mummy,
let them control us!

I know we cannot hide
even when we want to
I know they all hate us,
both me and you.

Give them our weapons
and give them our bombs,
Give them our soldiers
and give them our lives...

Let us be killed by ourselves,
ourselves killing ourselves,
Until our money is gone,
our brothers, all slain...

Mom give them some mind,
sanity please, if possible
fill it up with mercy -
I don't want to die...
