Legacies: We're Not Worthy

Set in 3x1 "We're Not Worthy." What if Kat intervened to help out with both taking out the monster and waking Hope up? What will happen?

        It was a dismal night, as a human Katherine appeared. She hadn't expected to appear here. She'd been wishing that it would be New Orleans. When she appeared inside the school she knew used to be the boarding house, she overheard the conversations. One, Hope wasn't waking up after a spell and two, there were some people in trouble. Something about a monster, some lady, and some kind of sword. And apparently Hope's boyfriend was dead for good. 

        She approached from where she'd been hearing the conversation from behind a close by wall. That's when he saw her. 

        "You," Ric stated. 

        "Yes. Me," she said, as she approached. "I just escaped a not so great prison world. I heard your conversation. I might be able to wake Hope up, but first, what's this about some kind of monster?"

        "You're not doing anything," Alaric stated, not wanting to trust her. 

        "You don't have any other choice, Alaric. Do you want a monster bringing destruction, or Hope to never wake up? Because that's going to happen if you don't trust me to help," she countered him. 

        He knew she was right for once, so after a few minutes, he finally gave in. 

        "They're out on a field day, so that's probably where the monster is. As For Hope, I don't know for certain, but I think when her boyfriend died, she felt it, and that's why she's not waking up."

        "Take me to where the kids are and possible monster. We'll take care of the monster now. Then we'll deal with Hope's condition."

        When they showed up, they both saw the monster, a sword, and some lady. However, Katherine assumed she was probably there to somewhat help when she told them that only someone worthy could yield the sword.

        "Well, I've got some news. Not every worthy person is from the bloodline of kings. A lot of time has passed. The most worthy people are those that you can call a real hero. Even if the hero is still seen as not a hero," she informed. Then, considering she'd made her Traveler magic active magic while she'd been in the prison world, she was able to magically make the sword fly at super speed and kill the monster. Then the gloomy sky disappeared, replacing it with the afternoon sky again. "Or magic helps, as well. And no one present here has any, apart from me," she added. 

        Once they were back at the school, and after Ric brought her to Landon's room that Hope was in, Katherine sat on her bedside and rested a hand on hers. 

        "Hope?" she called. "It's Katherine. Your Uncle Elijah's former girlfriend. You need to wake up. Your boyfriend's not coming back, sadly to say, and your dad wouldn't want this for you. You need to do what your dad would want you to do. Or even your boyfriend. He wouldn't want this, either. Wake up, Hope. Please," she introduced and reminded her. Then after a few minutes, she told her, "I know you can hear me, Hope. Don't be stubborn like me and your dad."

        After a few minutes, Hope finally woke up and began to sit up.

        Kat helped her sit up. 

        "I thought you died," Hope said. 

        "I did. A long time ago. I escaped a prison world. I don't plan on dying again anytime soon. Besides, I know if your dad knew that I had changed into a better person like him, he'd be honored to have me help you when you're in need. Look, I know you wanted to sleep forever after the loss of your boyfriend, but you can't be selfish like that. You have to live your life like your family would want you to. And hey. I'm here now. I know what it's like. Elijah wasn't my very first love, but he was my first real love. I know you loved your boyfriend, but you're gonna have to move on. You have your whole life ahead of you. You're gonna have more than one love in a lifetime, but if you're lucky, you'll have that epic love I had with Elijah and even Damon Salvatore," she explained to her. 

        "Thank you," was all Hope could say right now. 

        "You're welcome," Kat replied.
