Justification from the Grave

Life after death...?

I was neither an angel nor a demon
I was a sinner among the saints
Yet a saint among sinners
And a prince among thieves
Though blood dripped from my hands
Guilty was their verdict
Blessings knew not of my name
But cursed, I was not
I gave no thought to the existence of God
For I was flawless among the fallen
Not worthy of Heaven's treasures
Not damned enough for Hell's flames
...Or so I thought
