🌒 The Reckoning of Love

🌒 The Reckoning of Love

A Poem by DaughterofThoth
"

Love has something to say about everything so I am going to let her have the floor.

"

(A Holy Storm for Those Who Thought Love Would Stay Silent)

They thought love was soft.
That it would bow.
That it would kneel to their comfort
and not call them out.

They thought forgiveness meant amnesia.
That grace was a blindfold,
not a blade.

But love does not forget.
Love records every tremble,
every turning away,
every time you chose silence
when you should have stood
like thunder.

They told themselves
they were too gentle to cause harm.
But gentleness without truth
is just cowardice in silk.

And now?
Now the reckoning comes "
not in fire, but in reflection.

Love is not vengeful.
But it is precise.

It remembers what you did
in the name of normal.
What you ignored
in the name of peace.
What you consumed
in the name of pleasure.

It saw your jokes that cut
and your rules that crushed.
It saw the way you raised your sons
to dismiss tears
and your daughters
to survive starvation.

Love is not here to comfort you.
Love is here to correct you.

And if it must shatter your illusions
to resurrect your soul,
then it will do so
without apology.

This is not punishment.
This is not wrath.

This is what it feels like
to be seen without your masks.
To be held
without your lies.
To be called
by your real name
for the first time.

'" You called it cruelty
because you didn’t recognize mercy
in the form of a mirror.

You called it abuse
because you’d never been truly held
to the weight of your actions.

You said,

“I didn’t mean it.”
But love replies:
“And yet, you did it.”

This is not the end.
This is the turn.
This is where you learn
that love does not equal lenience "
it equals light.

And everything unworthy of it
must either rise,
or burn.

So rise.
Or burn.
But do not pretend
you weren’t warned.

For love has always been
the most honest god.
And today,
she is here
to collect.

✨ Atlantean Mirror (to close this storm):

You mistook love’s silence for permission.
You mistook her softness for sleep.
But love was just waiting for you to look up
" and finally see what you’d sown too deep.
