Christmas Day

Christmas Day

A Poem by David P Carroll
"

Sad old man alone at Christmas time again

"
Sad again on Christmas day no friends no family no happiness enjoyment presents a long dream sorrow hurt and pain if only I could enjoy Christmas day with a happy smile but cannot no friendship no love a saddened lonely heart again a special day arrives and I'm alone again times of joy love respect happiness swapping gifts I Will never feel at Christmas time of I'm saddened never-ending hurt for me I try hold my sadness back but cannot I hear families cheering singing a thought runs throw my mind not even a smile a tear runs down my cheek my eyes water a frown and all I can do is break down and cry for the hurt will never go away I'm alone on Christmas day again.
