War

A Poem by David P Carroll
"

Sadness of war

"
I'm alone again and scared I'm frightened by death a teary eye and shaking I'm hurt by the sadness of the suffering of the world children crying women screaming I sit alone in a dark place hoping this nightmare will end blood strains everywhere crimes committed nobody cares bombs dropping homes destroyed dead body's pile up I'm a nervous reck I need real comfort real help nobody cares about me because who I am I'm left hear to suffer like others millions I'm crying my eyes out nobody really cares about us conflict is my life bombs guns killings I don't understand life never seen the real world my life is just suffering pain crying I'll never see my Mommy again to hold her look her in the eyes and tell her I love you mommy I wanna go home from this terrible nightmare of endless wars.
