Newports

Newports

A Poem by David-Tyler

You taste like Newports
And you smell like sunshine
I miss you laying on my bed like a rainbow
Your eyes bright like moon glow
Kissing through raindrops
Rolling on top of the clouds
You kept me on my feet like gravity
Keeping me balanced with empathy
Sweet green garden's glow
Blossoming with rose petals and warmth
All that sunshine shining behind that shy smile
Oh sweetest temptress of the Nile
Always singing sweet
You're the siren in my dreams
Singing of summer nights in dangerous ways
And holding me safe in winter days
Tell me I'm a good man
Because I know I don't deserve you
Standing beside me as leaves fall in fall
As my lonely little soul feels small
Oh, you taste like Newports
And you smell like sunshine
I miss you laying on my bed like a rainbow
Your eyes bright like moon glow

About
I post my worst work here to get constructive criticism. I'm critical of other people because that's what's helpful. I won't make anything personal until you do. I'm not here for drama, fights, or oth.. more..
